Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is a mercurial singer and composer who weds folk gospel, soul and R&B with a distinctive mix. Sunshine has appeared on Broadway, at the Democratic National Convention and in the European clubs and festivals. Sunshine can be described as Denise White. Although she lives in Atlanta however, she comes from Chester Pennsylvania where she began the musical path by singing as well as playing the piano at church. After attending Spellman College, Atlanta she started her journey in music on the Atlanta's R&B entertainment scene. The Fighting Temptations The first single with her vocals was Stalk You an exclusive house 12 that was released only in Japan It has since been re-mixed by many producers and remains a mainstay in her live show. She has also contributed her singing on The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. In 2005she took on the role of the drummer in Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. In 2007, Grammy and Tony Award winning vocalist Jennifer Holliday sought her out to become the choral director for the theatrical production of Dreamgirls during the National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta. Sunshine gained national recognition during her four daily performances during 2008's Democratic National Convention. She was later invited to sing in the Obama administration's 2009 inauguration.
