Jeanie Marie Buss has been an American Entrepreneur for more than 20 years. she is currently president and the controlling owner for the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss was born in California and grew up as part of a wealthy family. Jerry Buss, her father was a businessman in real estate who was the owner of Lakers Entertainment and Sports. When she was in the year 1972, her parents split together and she felt abandoned. At 19 years old she joined the family business as the director of the Los Angeles Strings professional tennis team. The team was later renamed in the Los Angeles Blades, a professional roller-hockey team. She also served as director of the Great Western Forum before assuming the position of vice-president of the Lakers. Her father died in 2013, and his control over ownership of the Lakers was passed on to Buss and her five siblings through a family trust which gave each sibling an equal vote. She assumed the office of the president for Los Angeles Lakers. Los Angeles Lakers. Buss was also a owner of a portion of Women of Wrestling (a Los Angeles-based pro-wrestling association).
